About the Owner

Hi, I’m Tacey Sanchez — thank you for stopping by and learning more about Blooming in the Bay.

I’m an Idaho native who moved to the Bay Area several years ago and quickly fell in love with the beautiful landscapes, incredible climate, and diverse communities that make this part of California so special.

I studied Horticulture at Boise State University and became a certified horticulturist in the early 2000s. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles within the horticulture and landscape industry, including landscape technician, commercial landscape manager, nursery associate, greenhouse technician, personal gardener, interior plant technician, and flower merchandiser.

These experiences have given me a well-rounded understanding of plants, garden design, and the care required to help outdoor spaces truly thrive.
